Exterior Wall Defects and Deficencies from Our Home Inspections

Due to deficient roof flashing, water is intruding into the wall structure behind the siding--see photo to right. Decayed wood wall sheathing and framing is visible through the rotted opening in the siding.
Crack within stucco where an upper floor porch floor adjoins the wall. Staining apparent around the bottom is indicative of water intruding behind the stucco. There are multiple cracks within this stucco which is much too thin (around 1/8-1/4 inch).  Stucco should be 7/8 inch thick on this wall.
Decay affecting trim around a window. A typical issue. Brick veneer is deficiently attached to the wall. There is a separation of close to 1/4 inch.
The metal cap atop of chimney enclosure should extend over the wood trim. The trim is deteriorating. The lower approximately two inches of this double pane window is filled with water. The seal between the two sections of glass has failed.
